With the Coronis Fusion displays, Barco delivered a new generation of medical display systems that have grown to become one of the industry's most sought-after products for diagnostic imaging. The Fusion's innovative design allows clinicians to use the display as one large workspace, or as two smaller displays, to view different imaging modalities side by side, but without the disruption of a central bezel. For Lode De Paepe, who led the design project, Fusion was more than an answer to changing technologies. It was also a chance to break with tradition.
